World Furniture Day is an user-generated event which allows everybody to participate and to contribute his/her unique ideas about furniture.
World Furniture Day is based on the notion that furniture is a global language that everybody speaks and understands: everybody needs and uses furniture – this is our common cultural heritage and diversity is the base on which we want to build this event on a global scale.
World Furniture Day is an open event platform – everybody that has a meaningful contribution shall be able to express his ideas about furniture and interior design.
We initiated it, because we think that we can make the world a better place by making better and more innovative furniture.
World Furniture Day is an open and independent global platform. We are not affiliated to any manufacturer, dealer or brand. This is a community-driven project, that is co-created by enthusiastic and creative people stemming from all kind of races, religions and ethnic backgrounds. For us, diversity is a virtue and creativity a unique ability of mankind to express itself.
Therefore we welcome all kinds of unusual, off-beat design approaches as well as classical concepts of quality in design and sustainability in production. We share a holistic view with our friends around the globe and want to promote new ways to think about furniture design and innovation.
